Drawn from a challenge hosted by Elena on Drawspace. This image is suppose to be a church courtyard, but it didn't strike me that way..It struck me more this way..
I shall share the WIP so far..probably shouldn't though, as no telling what can happen between now and one more stroke
Today the weather abated for most of the day and it was actually quite a wonderful day. I sketched from life outdoors participating in drawspace threads hosted by jeanette. One thread is 'trees', this tree was here when we purchased the house..planted by previous owners so I dont know what it is and then I tried the screen house and my own house for the 'getting out in the real world' thread..
Wow!! We finally have some sun! Course the garden is practically ruined, my dantura is mostly drowned, My peonies have been beaten into the ground, the only thing really left is a wildly growing lawn. Now after over a week nearly two of pouring rain, the sun beats down, blazing hot, sucking up all that moisture, of course that will create a thunderstorm. It is the kind of heat that makes you feel like a steamed hot dog. My roses somehow made it thru and so did my columbine. I love columbines.they are so unique.
This is my favorite song, well one of them anyway, right at the top of the list.. it is Kid Rock and Cheryl Crow, Cheryl gives me goosebumps with her voice, I love it. Go check it out, gotta wait for a brief commercial first.
Here is a Watercolor pencil drawing I did last year. Have you tried a 'handscape'? You really should give it a go. Use your imagination, enhance your drawing skills, and create wonderful scenes of all kinds, I actually really like the way this one came out. Just thought I would share and perhaps inspire you to try one for yourself. If you do decide to draw one please share it. I would love to see it
Hello all my art loving friends. Today I share leaves. I went for a walk around my domain this morning, as per my usual and today I brought my camera. I wanted to store up some images for my long winter ahead and to gather resources for my friends to use as freely as they feel. I thought Leaves were a good place to start. I do not have the name for all these leaves, but they are still wonderful references for us to understand how they look, and their colors, . As I was taking pictures of the rhododendron leaves to show the stark difference between new and old growth I spotted a garden friend amongst the leaves and have included him there as well for you to see, and I tried to get a texture shot of his skin for us too. He is beautiful. I hope you guys find this post useful in your learning and art endeavours
